Job Tracking

PRESStige Job Tracking is typically used by companies who do not use Job Costing. Job Tracking allows you to follow jobs through the entire production process. Each morning you can print a report for each department head detailing the jobs that should be worked on that day. As jobs are completed in each department, you let the system know with a simple entry screen, as shown below. It is a simple yet powerful alternative job tracking application solution for companies that do not need the full feature capability of a comprehensive job costing program.

Estimate Entry

Looks up customer information from Accounts Receivable, if installed, including checking for past due invoices and credit limit violations
Each department is listed automatically. Just fill in due dates for the departments that apply to the current job
Job number can be automatically assigned or entered manually
Enter Work Completed

Reports

Job Status - Shows all jobs in production, sorted by customer, indicating the department that is working on the job and when it is due to be completed in that department. The Detailed version shows the history of the job, i.e. each department defined for the job and when it was completed.
Job Ticket - Prints a simple job ticket. One way to do it is to print tickets on a multi-part form with a different color for each department. When the job is finished in a department, the department head turns in the appropriate colored sheet. At the end of each day, or the next morning, someone updates the computer to let it know which jobs are finished in which departments.
Due Date Missed - Lists all jobs who have missed their due date. This report is sorted by customer, but you can also sort it by sales rep.
