| FEATURES
AND BENEFITS SUMMARY: |
| Chart
of Accounts |
- Keeps
three years summarized history on each account plus a budget.
- An
optional notes field is available for instructions regarding
which transactions to post to the account.
- When
deleting an account, you can move the transactions and history
to a new account. This allows you to keep previous year
comparisons meaningful even after changing your chart of
accounts.
|
| Data
Entry |
- Add
a new account without leaving data entry.
- Recall
past batches posted. This can be used to repost batches
if you were forced to go to a backup copy of your data and
you wish to re-post everything done since that time.
- You
can also change the date or reverse the sign on all entries
in a given transaction batch. This is useful if you wish
to back out a batch of transactions and then post them to
a different date.
- Allows
posting to the previous year so that you can start the new
year before your final year-end balances are known.
- Recurring
transactions are supported to reduce repetitive typing.
|
| Defining
Financial Statements |
- Use
the "Auto Generate" feature to design a standard set of
financial statements.
- Then,
if you wish, you can alter the standard financials to create
your own custom financial statements.
- Using
these capabilities, you can create simple or complex financials
with any number of supporting schedules.
- Annualize
feature. A command line like "/ANNUALIZE ON" will cause
the program to recalculate balance forward and year to date
values and project them into the full year. In other words,
you can show a year to date figure through period 9 and
then print another line which projects that total for a
full year. The program basically divides by 9 and multiplies
by 12 or 13 (depending on the # of periods in a year).
|
| Printing
Financial Statements |
- You
can include a date and time stamp on financial statements
to avoid confusion after several versions have been printed.
- You
may display financials before printing.
- If
you like, you can organize your financials include logical
subsets. This would give you the ability to print just a
Balance Sheet, Income Statement or any logical subset of
the financials.
- Output
to Microsoft Word. You have the option of creating a word
document rather than just printing a report.
|
| Reports |
- Detail
General Ledger Print transactions from any month in detail
or summary form.
- Journal
Allows you to print transactions organized by journal type
(Accounts Receivable, Payroll etc).
- Working
Trial Balance Shows the current balance as of a selected
period and also provides a hard copy worksheet for making
and documenting adjustments.
|
| Other
Features |
- Graphs
and Charts are built into the program for analysis and comparison
with previous years or period to period.
- Period
closing has been eliminated. You can post to any transaction
in the current or previous year at any time, with appropriate
security measures, of course.
- The
user name and actual posting date was added to the transaction
file. This helps track down posting errors such as posting
to a previous period.
- A
search function allows you to search your database using
"ad hoc" queries. For example, you can search for an amount
that equals 202.35, if searching for a specific transaction.
