Estimating
PRESStige Estimating is one of the most powerful and proven programs of its kind available. From the first release back in 1979 through its conversion to full Windows compatibility beginning in 1997, PRESStige Software has lead the way in developing cutting-edge, feature-rich estimating programs for the printing and other direct marketing service industries. PRESStige Estimating is a true state-of-the-art estimating application for printing and other custom services with unrivaled flexibility and ease of use.

Request for Quote
  • Allows sales reps to enter a request for quote. Estimators then review these RFQs and at the click of the mouse, the data from the RFQ is entered into Estimate entry. This saves time for the estimator and reduces errors.

Estimate Entry
  • Up to 20 Forms (job segments) per estimate.

Paper File
Each paper entry contains each size and weight available. This greatly reduces the number of papers and prices you need to maintain.
 
Quote Letters
  • Flexible quote letter setup allow you to define quote letters to fit your needs. You can even email your letters if you like.
Job Tickets
  • Job Tickets can be designed for screen viewing as well as printing. You can define the format of the ticket almost any way you like. Information on an estimate is available on job tickets.
Integration
  • Customer information is incorporated from Accounts Receivable, including credit checks.

Custom Calculations
If you have an unusual piece of equipment, or wish to calculate a price in an unusual way, our custom calculation feature allows you to define the questions to be asked, how to verify correct entry and how to calculate a price. This can all be done without having to pay a programmer to modify the program. You can calculate each price precisely the way you want. No need to lie to the program.
 
Flexible Estimate Entry
The descriptions, order of entry and groupings are all in your control. This means you can think through a job in the order that you are accustomed. No putting up with awkward entry screens that force you to do it their way or worse yet don't even allow you to do it in any way.
 
The Concept of "Options"
Let's say you have a request for an estimate that involves a book with a separate cover. The customer wants to quote the job with a four color cover and a two color cover. Using the Options feature, you can quote this job using just one estimate and a single quote letter. Option 1 could be the book with the four color cover, Option 2 could be the book with the 2 color cover. Estimates can have up to 20 components, each option can group those components in any manner.
 
Custom Quote Letters
You can create your own quote letters within the program. You can even have several different quote letter formats for different purposes. You can email or fax quote letters in addition to printing.
 
Custom Job Tickets
In a similar fashion, job tickets can be customized for your shop. Any information available to the program can be shown on your job ticket.
 
Paper File Setup
When you set up a single paper entry, all sizes and weights for that paper can be entered on one screen. All these papers can be given a single price per hundred weight or price per thousand sheets. The benefit is that you can change one price to update all sizes and weights for a given paper.
 
Pro Forma Estimates
Every estimate can potentially be a pro-forma estimate. Simply recall a previous estimate, tell the system to assign a new estimate number and you have a new estimate will all the data filled in. All you have to do is change the quantity, customer and review the estimate for any other needed changes.
 
Integration With Other PRESStige Software Programs
When an estimate becomes a job, job costing is updated with all estimated cost information. Also, if there is a need to re-estimate the job after production has started because of change orders, job costing may be updated a second time. The estimated cost changes, but any actual cost captured will be retained. Job tracking, jobs in progress (for invoicing) are also updated.
 
 
Estimate Entry:
Estimate Entry provides a quick and easy way to enter job specifications all on one screen. The description of each operation and the order it appears is completely in your control. Drop down lists are also programmable. The system is designed so that a complete estimate can be entered without touching a mouse, or all entries can be done with just a mouse (with the exception of the job description and a few other items). You can easily switch back and forth between forms and different sections within forms.
 
Estimating Standards:
Your standards reflect your unique capabilities and method of pricing. PRESStige Estimating allows you to precisely define how you want your prices calculated. We even accommodate custom calculations for unique equipment or unique calculation methods.
 
Estimate Analysis Reports:
The estimate analysis report allows you to analyze your won/loss average, how many estimates were done by each estimator and much more.
